General info of Hongkong

Are you ready to get your socks knocked off ?

Hong Kong has the big city, 14 million elbows and an insane love of clatter. But it's also efficient, hushed and peaceful. Here is beguiling city- high maintenance yet high reward: constantly changing, without losing touch with its heritage. The transport network is excellent, the shopping centres are sublime, and the temples and quiet corners of parks are contemplative oases.

The best thing about being in Hong Kong is getting flummoxed and fired by the confluences and contradictions of a Chinese city with multi-Asian and Western elements. It's about savouring new tastes, weaving through a human gridlock and humming some dumb Cantopop tune while slurping your noodles.

When to go

Basically, Hong Kong experiences a sub-tropical climate with separate seasons as follow as :

  1. Spring season which is from March to mid May. It is warm and humid

  2. Summer season which is from the end of May to mid September. Temperature is increases and very hot.

  3. Autumn season which is from late September to early December the temperature gradually falls and humidity too lessens.

  4. Winter season, which is from late December to February, the temperature remains quite cold with low moisture content in the air.

When to Go to Hong Kong recommends the Spring season as the best time to visit this stunning city. The most apt time to visit Hong Kong is from mid September to the end of February. During this time, the climate remains moderate and you can enjoy comfortably. Excluding the peak seasons, if you are planning to visit Hong Kong during some other time of the year, you can get attractive discounts in the hotels. Try to avoid visiting the city on Chinese New Year in the end of January or the beginning of February. During that time, the city remains in a holiday mood, most of the shops and malls are closed and the streets are often crowded. However, the International Food Fair held in January attracts a huge number of tourists to the city.
